French creator, corset-maker and embroiderer, Hubert Barrère collaborates with the most famous fashion. Since 2001, he draws at the same time his own clothing line where the corset is King.

Hubert Barrère exposes his creations in Shanghai on Bund18 from July 14th to August 15th.

This exhibition links Asian ancient art and Couture. A conversation around 11 masterpieces from Paris based Asian Art dealers Jacques and Antoine Barrère. From a Chu wooden sculpture to a Sui Court Lady statue, a Tang Dynasty Fat Lady, these masterpieces have been the source of inspiration for a complete Haute Couture Collection by famous Hubert Barrère.

Hubert Barrère presents new creations. By redrawing the silhouette, Hubert Barrère offers to the women wearing his corsets, another reading of the seduction; a shape of stake in danger which imposes the curve on the line.
